Get advice from 111 or ask for an urgent GP appointment if:
You are not able to speak to your local NHS urgent mental health helpline
You need help urgently for your mental health, but it's not an emergency
You're not sure what to do
111 will tell you the right place to get help if you need to see someone.
You may be able to speak to a nurse, or mental health nurse, over the phone.
A GP can advise you about helpful treatments and also help you access mental health services.
You may be able to refer yourself to some services.
Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
Someone's life is at risk – for example, they have seriously injured themselves or taken an overdose
You do not feel you can keep yourself or someone else safe
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a physical one. You will not be wasting anyone's time.

Most people don’t use drugs and even among those that do, emergencies are rare. But no one can be certain how drugs will affect them so there’s always the risk they’ll have a bad time, fall ill, hurt themselves or even worse.
Should you ever need to help someone who’s having a bad reaction, here’s what you need to know:

> overheated and dehydrated
> having difficulty with breathing

Community Mental Health - adults of working age (CMHT - A)
The CMHTs provide care, advice and information for people aged 18 and over with significant mental health problems, including:
schizophrenia and psychotic or delusional disorders
affective disorders such as mania, manic depression and moderate/severe depression
Organic Mental Disorder
significant mental health problems following childbirth
phobias, anxiety disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
personality disorders that cause significant distress or risk to the individual or others.
Community Mental Health - Older peoples (CMHT - OP)
Our aim is to support older people to live safely at home, and prevent unnecessary admissions into hospital. Our CMHTs provide a range of valuable services, including assessments, treatments and home visits, as well as group and individual therapies. They see people in a variety of settings, including hospitals and outpatient clinics, but most often in their own homes.

Our trained and experienced team of staff and volunteers are here to provide emotional support by phone, email and text, 365 days a year. You can also share experiences with others in our online peer-led forum.
