About us 

Wellbeing Practice is an expanding business based in Wimborne and Dorchester. 


Our goal is to provide a robust,  service that is an accessible affordable and available therapy support service. 


Our work environment includes a modern office setting Mars bars occasionally, Growth opportunities CPD Events, within a Team environment approach.


We are looking for a qualified counsellor to join our team delivering support within this community counselling support service, specifically with training to work with Young People


Location: Dorchester or DT1 

Renumeration guide: Circa.  £200 per day. 

Start Date: April 2024 or Sooner as available. 


The Person: 

  • You will be an experienced counsellor with 150+ hours post-qualification client-facing hours, qualified to work with Young People. 

  • You will be an enthusiastic team-minded person working towards our common objectives of increased wellbeing. 

  • You will be open and straightforward in your approach, keen on continued learning with the ability to operate within a demanding setting and adapt to varying client needs and expectations. 

  • You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding and application of developing coping strategies and supportive techniques benefiting clients on a longer-term basis. 

Qualification: 

  • Level 4 or above in Counselling skills (Diploma) as recognised by the BACP or equivalent. 

  • Suitable Counselling qualification working with Young People. 

  • Certification of Proficiency as required by the BACP or equivalent. 

  • Current and valid enhanced EDBS. 

  • Membership of the BACP or similar. 

This role: is Face-to-Face Counselling on-site in Dorchester and/or Wimborne (Dorset). 


Counselling Adults and Young People in a dynamic and varying environment. 


This can be both challenging and rewarding.
