Therapist (*Professional Studies)

Open to new Clients: Yes

*Lyn is at present pursuing professional studies to enhance her knowledge and improve her therapeutic abilities. This involves receiving tutoring, along with mentorship and supervision, which all our therapists enjoy. Our commitment to offering clients a safe and professional counselling experience remains unchanged. Should any part of the study require direct client involvement, it will be communicated beforehand, with confidentiality continuing to be a top priority.

Lyn is a qualified Person-Centred Therapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She has knowledge and experience working with bereavement and loss including SANDS training (baby loss at any point of pregnancy, from early miscarriage, to cot death), domestic abuse, and neurodiversity (Autism/ADHD). Lyn works with adults aged 18+ and her main counselling approach is person-centred therapy with attachment based psychotherapy.

Person-centred therapy allows clients to have control over the content and pace of their sessions. Lyn offers a safe, warm, and confidential space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings freely, without judgement. She believes that being truly heard and accepted creates the conditions for growth and change. Talking through and reflecting on thoughts and feelings can help clients unravel and organise what may feel tangled, lightening the emotional load.

Together with her clients, Lyn explores the difficulties they are experiencing in a space that allows time to focus on themselves. Her focus remains on the individual, offering tailored support that adapts to each person’s needs. Through this process, clients can develop increased self-confidence and strengthen their ability to navigate life’s challenges.
